About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Full-Stack Developer (MERN) to lead our India engineering team. This role combines hands-on software development with technical leadership, making it ideal for a passionate engineer who enjoys building scalable applications while mentoring and managing teams.
As the senior-most technical resource in the India team, you will own architecture decisions, code quality, sprint delivery, and day-to-day engineering management while collaborating closely with business stakeholders and the UAE technology team.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and maintain scalable applications using MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js (MERN Stack).
- Lead sprint planning, effort estimation, and technical execution.
- Define engineering standards, branching strategies, code review processes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Manage and mentor a team of engineers across Backend, Frontend, Mobile, DevOps, QA, and Design.
- Collaborate with senior engineers on integrations, infrastructure, and production support.
- Drive technical documentation, code quality initiatives, and best practices.
- Communicate project progress, risks, and technical decisions to leadership and UAE-based technology teams.
- Translate business requirements into practical engineering solutions.
Required Skills
6+ years of experience with React.js, Node.js, and Express.js
Strong expertise in MySQL and MongoDB
Experience with Linux, Apache, AWS S3, EC2, RDS, CloudFront, and IAM
Proven experience delivering e-commerce or transactional platforms
Strong knowledge of TypeScript, Redux/Zustand, REST APIs, Webhooks, and Git workflows
Experience leading teams of 4+ engineers
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Nice to Have
- Experience working with non-technical business stakeholders
- Exposure to MoEngage, Gupshup, or WhatsApp Business API integrations
- Experience in digital commerce and marketing technology environments
