Job Requirements
At Quest Global, we work on design, development and technical support of Industrial Gas Turbine components for the R&D department of one of our Energy customers. Quest Global projects include generation of cost reduction ideas, Assessing Mechanical Integrity & implementation in production engines and resolution of technical fault reports in fleet engines.
We are now looking for a mechanical design engineer who wants to work with technical matters related to Industrial Gas Turbines components across Compressors, Combustion and Turbine parts.

Execute complex FEA jobs with minimum supervision within a high performing FEA team.

Do hand calculations leveraging a strong foundation in engineering fundamentals.

Performing steady state and transient thermal, structural and thermo-mechanical analysis in Abaqus software.

Understand and define contacts, conducting nonlinear analysis, vibration analysis, buckling analysis, etc.

Thorough understanding of high-cycle fatigue (HCF), low-cycle fatigue (LCF), creep, and fracture mechanics.

Drive technical solutions and engage in reviews with both internal and external customers.

Writing of analysis reports and certification reports.

Ensuring timely and high-quality deliveries for complex development projects.

Have a solutioning mindset and approach to work.
Work Experience
- Hands on Experience in performing static/dynamic, transient, linear and non-linear thermal and thermo-mechanical analysis of gas turbine 'Turbine' module using commercial software Abaqus.

Hands on Experience in performing PRE-POST in Abaqus software for static/dynamic, transient, linear and non-linear thermal and thermo-mechanical analysis of gas turbine Combustor & Transition Pieces.

Graduate/Postgraduate in Mechanical engineering or equivalent with 4 to 6 years of experience in finite element analysis (FEA) especially in turbomachinery domain.

Strong fundamental in Finite element methods and solid mechanics.

Experience in product design of turbomachinery i.e., Gas turbine, steam turbine will be preferred.

Experience in performing strength assessment as per ASME BPV Sec VIII Code.

Experience in Rotor dynamics is an added advantage.

Performing low cycle fatigue, high cycle fatigue and detailed fracture mechanics assessments of Gas turbine static & rotating components.
