Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive and result-driven Business Development Executive to expand Astroport’s reach by building strategic partnerships with schools, corporates, institutions, and event platforms.
The role involves identifying new opportunities, generating leads, managing client relationships, and contributing to revenue growth through Astroport’s education programs, workshops, and astronomy experiences.
Key Responsibilities1. Lead Generation & Market Expansion
- Identify potential clients including:
- Schools & Educational Institutions
- Corporates
- Event companies
- Government & Tourism bodies
- Generate leads through calls, networking, emails, and field visits
- Explore new markets for Astroport programs
2. Client Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients
- Understand client requirements and suggest relevant Astroport offerings
- Ensure long-term partnerships
3. Sales & Conversion
- Present Astroport’s programs and services
- Convert leads into confirmed bookings
- Coordinate with internal teams for proposal creation
- Negotiate and close deals
4. Program Promotion
Promote:
- Astronomy Workshops
- School Programs
- Corporate Engagement Activities
- Public Stargazing Events
- STEM Learning Modules
5. Collaboration & Execution Support
- Work closely with:
- Education Team
- Operations Team
- Marketing Team
- Support smooth execution of confirmed programs
6. Reporting & Tracking
- Maintain lead database
- Track sales pipeline
- Share weekly progress updates
- Achieve monthly targets
Required Skills
- Strong communication & presentation skills

- Basic understanding of education / events industry (preferred)
- Willingness to travel
Qualification
- Graduate in any stream
- MBA (Preferred but not mandatory)
- 1–3 years experience in Sales / Business Development / EdTech / Events
