About the Role
Manyata Developers is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting, banking, and cash-handling operations out of our Richmond Road office. This is a high-trust role reporting exclusively to the Director, requiring strong ownership of financial record-keeping, regular bank visits, and accurate cash management. The ideal candidate is hands-on, disciplined with numbers, and comfortable traveling locally as part of daily responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Bookkeeping (Tally)
- Maintain accurate day-to-day accounting entries in Tally (ERP/Prime)
- Manage ledgers, vouchers, journal entries, and periodic reconciliations
- Prepare financial reports, summaries, and statements as required by the Director
Banking Operations
- Visit banks regularly for deposits, withdrawals, cheque clearances, and documentation
- Handle bank reconciliations and coordinate directly with bank officials
- Manage online banking transactions, transfers, and payment processing
Cash Handling
- Manage petty cash and day-to-day cash transactions responsibly
- Maintain accurate cash records, vouchers, and supporting documentation
- Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of cash accounts
Field & Administrative Support
- Travel to banks, vendor offices, or government offices as required, using own vehicle
- Support documentation and filings related to statutory and financial compliance
- Handle confidential errands and financial tasks assigned directly by the Director
Reporting & Confidentiality
- Report exclusively and directly to the Director of the company
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all financial and cash-related information
- Provide timely updates and accurate reporting on financial matters
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3 years of relevant experience as an Accountant
- Strong working proficiency in Tally (ERP/Prime)
- Sound understanding of banking procedures and documentation
- Comfortable and experienced in handling cash responsibly
- Must own a vehicle with a valid driving license, and be willing to travel locally for bank/vendor visits
- High level of integrity and trustworthiness, given direct cash handling and confidential reporting to the Director
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
