Job Summary
ShikshaSphere is looking for an experienced and engaging Current Affairs & Static GK Teacher to conduct high-quality online live classes for SSC examinations. This is a part-time, fully remote, work-from-home position.
The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of national and international current affairs, Static GK, and the latest syllabus and examination patterns of various SSC examinations. The candidate must have excellent teaching, communication and research skills, along with their own professional studio setup for live streaming and video production.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct interactive live Current Affairs and Static GK classes for SSC aspirants.
- Cover all important topics according to the latest SSC syllabus and examination patterns.
- Teach national and international current affairs in an engaging and exam-oriented manner.
- Cover Static GK topics related to India and the world.
- Teach government schemes, appointments, awards, sports, defence, science and technology, books and authors, important days, organisations and other relevant topics.
- Conduct daily, weekly and monthly current affairs revision sessions.
- Prepare topic-wise quizzes, one-liners, practice questions and revision notes.
- Solve Previous Year Questions (PYQs) and Previous Year Papers (PYPs).
- Conduct mock tests, test discussions and detailed solution sessions.
- Record exam updates, generic informational videos and concept-based lectures.
- Create engaging educational short videos for YouTube and social media platforms.
- Research, verify and regularly update content using reliable and authoritative sources.
- Engage with students during live sessions and resolve their academic doubts.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Graduation from a recognised university.
- Minimum 1 year of experience teaching Current Affairs or Static GK for SSC or other government competitive examinations.
- Strong knowledge of the Current Affairs and Static GK requirements of SSC examinations.
- Sound understanding of important national and international events.
- Excellent research, fact-checking and content-development skills.
- Ability to analyse important news from an examination perspective.
- Excellent Hindi communication, teaching and presentation skills.
- Ability to explain factual information in an engaging and easy-to-remember manner.
- Previous experience conducting live classes on YouTube or other online platforms is preferred.
- Comfortable appearing on camera and creating both long-form and short-form educational videos.
- Ability to work independently and maintain a consistent teaching schedule.

As this is a fully remote position, the candidate must have their own professional studio setup, including:
- 75-inch interactive panel or digital teaching board
- High-quality wireless headset microphone, such as the Sennheiser XSW 1-ME3-A, or an equivalent professional system
- 4K PTZ camera
- Six professional 2×2-foot panel lights
- High-performance, heavy-duty computer system
- Reliable power backup
- Stable internet connection with speed of up to 1000 Mbps
- Properly lit, audio-treated and distraction-free teaching environment
- Other essential equipment required for professional live streaming and video recording
