Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated WordPress/PHP Developer with 1 to 2 years of professional experience to join our growing development team. In this role, you will be highly hands-on, focusing on building high-performance H5 mobile-first websites, cloning/replicating specific web designs, creating functional custom dashboards, and developing custom APIs.
The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in core PHP, a deep understanding of the WordPress ecosystem, and the ability to bridge the gap between pixel-perfect frontend layouts and clean, secure backend logic.
Key Responsibilities
- H5 Website Development: Develop highly responsive, lightweight, and fast-loading H5 websites optimized specifically for mobile browsers and touch interactions.
- Website Cloning & Replication: Accurately replicate or clone existing web structures, layouts, and functionalities based on references, ensuring clean code and cross-browser compatibility.
- Dashboard Creation: Design and implement functional backend admin panels or client dashboards using WordPress capabilities or custom PHP frameworks.
- API Development & Integration: Build custom REST APIs to handle data flow between WordPress, external dashboards, and third-party applications. Integrate third-party web services seamlessly.
- Theme & Plugin Customization: Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch, or heavily customize existing ones to meet specific project needs (without over-relying on heavy page builders).
- Database Management: Write clean, optimized SQL queries and handle data manipulation within MySQL databases.
- Maintenance & Optimization: Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize code to ensure maximum speed, scalability, and robust security protocols.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: 1 to 2 years of professional web development experience using PHP and WordPress.
- Core Backend Skills: Strong proficiency in PHP and MySQL. Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
- WordPress Expertise: In-depth knowledge of WordPress architecture, Hooks, Actions, Filters, and the WP REST API.
- Frontend Basics: Strong skills in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern responsive frameworks (like Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS) to ensure perfect H5 rendering.
- API Engineering: Proven experience creating and consuming RESTful APIs (handling JSON/XML data formats).
- Design Replicating: Ability to look at a reference website and accurately recreate its layouts and behavior using clean HTML/CSS/JS or WordPress structures.
- Version Control: Basic experience using Git/GitHub for version tracking and collaboration.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Familiarity with modern PHP frameworks like Laravel or CodeIgniter.
- Understanding of headless WordPress setups (using WordPress purely as a backend API).
- Basic knowledge of web performance optimization (caching, asset minification, Core Web Vitals).
