About the Role
We're looking for an energetic and passionate Spoken English & Digital Trainer who enjoys teaching, mentoring, and inspiring young adults.
As a trainer, you'll deliver engaging classroom sessions that help youth develop spoken English, digital literacy, confidence, and workplace readiness. Beyond teaching, you'll mentor learners, support their employment journey, and contribute to meaningful social impact.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver High-Impact Training
- Conduct Spoken English and Digital Empowerment sessions following the prescribed curriculum.
- Create an engaging, inclusive, and interactive learning environment.
- Prepare lesson plans, learning materials, and classroom activities.
- Ensure high learner attendance, participation, and quality outcomes.
- Conduct assessments and provide regular feedback and mentoring.
Build Employability Skills
- Conduct resume-building and mock interview sessions.
- Prepare learners for workplace communication and professional behavior.
- Support students with documentation such as Aadhaar, PAN, bank accounts, and other employment requirements.
- Strengthen learners' digital skills and job readiness.
Track Progress & Reporting
- Maintain learner records, attendance, assessments, and progress reports.
- Update program data on MIS systems and Excel/Google Sheets.
- Submit timely reports to the Course Manager.
- Capture learner testimonials and success stories at batch completion.
Program & Centre Support
- Support centre activities, events, workshops, donor visits, and stakeholder engagement.
- Assist with documentation for monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Collaborate with the Lighthouse team to ensure smooth program execution.
What We're Looking For
- Graduate or Postgraduate in English, Journalism, Mass Communication, Linguistics, Education, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in teaching, training, spoken English, employability skills, or youth development.
- Excellent communication skills in English, Hindi, and the local language.
- Strong classroom facilitation and presentation skills.
- Experience in mentoring young adults and preparing them for employment.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace, and basic MIS reporting.
- A positive, empathetic, and learner-centric approach.
- Willingness to travel locally, if required.
