The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all finishing works in construction projects meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. This role involves close monitoring of site activities, conducting inspections, and coordinating with project teams to deliver superior finishes in line with client expectations and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Assurance & Control
- Develop and implement quality control procedures for finishing works (plastering, painting, flooring, tiling, marble Steel work, joinery, etc.).
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
- Identify defects, propose corrective actions, and ensure timely resolution.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare and maintain quality records, inspection reports, and checklists.
- Ensure proper documentation of materials, workmanship, and test results.
- Report non-conformities and track corrective/preventive actions.
- Coordination & Communication
- Work closely with site engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain quality standards.
- Liaise with consultants and clients during inspections and approvals.
- Provide technical guidance to site teams on finishing work quality requirements.
- Material & Workmanship Verification
- Verify that finishing materials meet approved specifications and standards.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and installation of finishing materials.
- Monitor workmanship to achieve flawless finishes and aesthetics.
- Recommend improvements in construction methods and finishing techniques.
- Promote best practices in quality management and safety compliance.
Required Skills & Expertise
- Strong knowledge of finishing works (plaster, paint, tiles, marble, S SS fabrication work etc.).
- Familiarity with international and local construction standards (ISO, ASTM, BIS).
- Proficiency in quality inspection tools and techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and coordination abilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in quality engineering, with a focus on finishing works.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
