Learning & Development Manager

Job Summary
Semolina Kitchens is looking for an experienced Learning & Development Manager to lead the training and development function across our airport lounge operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating learning initiatives that enhance service excellence, operational efficiency, and employee performance while ensuring a world-class guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver training programs for lounge associates, supervisors, and managers.
- Conduct induction, onboarding, and refresher training for new and existing employees.
- Develop training manuals, SOPs, presentations, e-learning content, and assessment tools.
- Identify training needs through operational audits, performance evaluations, and business requirements.
- Monitor training effectiveness and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coach and mentor frontline teams to improve service quality and leadership capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with hospitality service standards, food safety, hygiene, and company policies.
- Partner with Operations and HR teams to support talent development, succession planning, and employee engagement.
- Maintain accurate training records, reports, and certification documentation.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in Learning & Development or Training within airport lounges, luxury hotels, premium hospitality, aviation catering, or high-end guest service environments.
- Strong understanding of hospitality service standards, guest experience, and operational excellence.
- Excellent presentation, facilitation, coaching, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and training content development.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in airport lounge operations or luxury hospitality.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) is an added advantage.
- Ability to manage multiple training projects across locations.
