The Ops Staff is responsible for supporting day-to-day operational activities within Blue Dart's Service Centres, Hubs, Processing Units (PUDs) and Warehouses by ensuring efficient shipment handling, processing and movement across the network.
The role performs a wide range of operational activities including shipment receiving, sorting, scanning, bagging, tagging, loading, unloading, shipment reconciliation and data entry while ensuring adherence to operational procedures, safety standards and service commitments. As a frontline operations employee, the incumbent plays a critical role in maintaining shipment accuracy, operational productivity and service quality while representing the Blue Dart brand through professional conduct, discipline and operational excellence.
To support efficient shipment processing and operational activities by ensuring accurate handling, sorting, scanning and movement of shipments while maintaining high standards of productivity, safety, quality and compliance with Blue Dart's Standard Operating Procedures.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Shipment Processing & Operations
- Receive, segregate, sort and process inbound and outbound shipments accurately.
- Perform shipment scanning, bagging, tagging and labelling activities in accordance with operational requirements.
- Support loading and unloading of shipments from vehicles while ensuring safe handling practices.
- Ensure timely movement of shipments through various operational stages to meet defined service commitments.
- Assist in shipment reconciliation and manifest verification activities.
Data Entry & Operational Documentation
- Perform basic data entry and shipment updates using approved operational systems.
- Ensure accurate recording of shipment information and operational transactions.
- Verify shipment labels, manifests and operational documentation.
- Report shipment discrepancies or operational exceptions promptly.
- Maintain accuracy in operational records and documentation.
Operational Support
- Support day-to-day operations across Service Centres, Hubs, Warehouses and Processing Units.
- Assist Shift In-charges in achieving daily operational targets.
- Support peak volume operations and contingency requirements.
- Ensure operational workstations remain organised and ready for processing activities.
- Perform additional operational tasks as assigned by the reporting manager.
Safety, Security & Compliance
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) while performing operational activities.
- Adhere to Blue Dart's safety, security and quality standards at all times.
- Handle customer shipments carefully to prevent damage or loss.
- Report unsafe conditions, operational incidents or security concerns immediately.
- Ensure proper usage of personal protective equipment (PPE) wherever applicable.
Workplace Discipline & Brand Representation
- Maintain high standards of personal grooming, hygiene and professional appearance.
- Wear the prescribed Blue Dart uniform and identity card while on duty.
- Demonstrate discipline, punctuality and professionalism at all times.
- Follow workplace rules, operational discipline and company policies.
- Represent the Blue Dart brand positively through behaviour, teamwork and commitment to service excellence.

- Work collaboratively with colleagues across operational teams.

Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
- Minimum 10th Standard Pass.
- Higher educational qualifications will be an added advantage.
Experience:
- Fresher or up to 2 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, courier, manufacturing, retail operations or similar operational environments.
- Freshers with the aptitude and willingness to work in operational roles are encouraged to apply.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Minimum age 18 years.
- Physically fit to perform operational activities involving standing, walking, lifting and movement of shipments throughout the shift.
- Willingness to work across rotational shifts, weekends and public holidays based on business requirements.
- Basic understanding of English for reading operational instructions, shipment labels and safety guidelines.
- Basic computer and handheld scanner/mobile application usage.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn and ability to work in a team environment.
