Role Overview
We are seeking a meticulous, proactive, and dependable Senior Finance Manager to oversee finance operations, reporting, compliance review, banking coordination, receivables control, and overall financial discipline. This is a hands-on managerial role requiring the ability to supervise the accounts team, analyze financial data, ensure accuracy in routine finance processes, and provide timely financial information and support to management.
This role is not focused on data entry. The candidate will be expected to review, coordinate, monitor, and ensure that finance-related activities are completed accurately and on time. The role includes handling reconciliations, delayed-payment interest calculations, receivables follow-up, remittance and LC coordination, banking documentation, GST and TDS review, audit coordination, and other related finance matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting, Control & Analysis
· Extract, compile, and analyze financial data from Tally and related records for management review and decision-making.
· Prepare MIS reports, fund-position summaries, outstanding statements, and other reports as required by management.
· Prepare financial data and schedules for banking discussions, periodic credit reviews, and management analysis.
· Monitor daily bank balances, support cash-flow planning, and prepare delayed-payment interest workings.
· Review financial records and highlight discrepancies, pending items, and control issues for timely resolution.
- Receivables, Reconciliation & Credit Control
· Prepare and review customer and supplier ledger reconciliations, and ensure timely closure of differences.
· Monitor receivables and follow up with customers for overdue payments.
· Maintain appropriate controls for credit customers, including follow-up and timely realization of dues.
· Track ageing and outstanding balances to minimize credit risk.
- Banking, Remittance & LC Coordination
· Serve as the primary coordinator with banks for remittances, loan-related documentation, stock statements, and other banking requirements.
· Ensure required documents and information are prepared by the team and submitted to banks on time.
· Coordinate foreign remittance and LC documentation, including follow-up with banks and internal stakeholders.
· Maintain banking documentation, KYC updates, and routine communication with relationship managers and bank officials.
· Draft banking correspondence and coordinate finance-related documentation linked to imports and shipments, as required.
- Compliance, Audit & Review
· Ensure timely filing of GST and other tax-related returns, and review the same for accuracy and completeness.
· Oversee GST reconciliations, including 2A/2B checks, to ensure they are completed accurately by the team.
· Monitor TDS compliance and verify that deductions are applied correctly.
· Coordinate with consultants and act as the internal point of contact for audits; ensure schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documents are prepared on time.
- Team Supervision & Operational Oversight
· Supervise the finance and accounts team and ensure smooth day-to-day functioning.
· Allocate, review, and monitor work related to accounting, invoicing, remittances, and related activities.
· Ensure routine finance operations are carried out accurately and within agreed timelines.
· Bring structure, discipline, and follow-up to the finance function to reduce management involvement in routine matters.
Key Skills Required
· Strong working knowledge of Tally ERP for extraction, review, and analysis of financial data.
· Advanced Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, PivotTables, filters), with strong reconciliation and reporting capability.
· Sound understanding of GST, TDS, accounting controls, banking documentation, remittances, and LC processes.
· Ability to prepare interest calculations, review ledger reconciliations, and monitor receivables effectively.
· Strong coordination and follow-up skills with banks, customers, suppliers, consultants, auditors, and internal stakeholders.
· Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage a small team effectively.
Preferred Candidate Profile
· 5+ years of relevant experience in finance and accounts, with practical exposure to banking, receivables, reconciliations, compliance review, and finance operations.
· Mature, dependable, and process-driven, with the ability to independently track and close finance matters in a timely manner.
· Sound experience in GST/TDS review, audit support, banking documentation, remittances, and LC coordination.
· Proven ability to supervise and guide a small accounts team with a focus on accuracy, timelines, and internal control.
· Strong follow-up and coordination skills across customers, suppliers, banks, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
· High ownership mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to reduce management involvement in routine finance follow-up.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
