Role Overview
A Barista at Amelia One BKC is responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and supporting smooth day-to-day café operations, including stock handling and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Beverage Preparation
- Prepare a variety of espresso-based and specialty beverages (Espresso, Cappuccino, Latte, etc.)
- Ensure consistency in taste, temperature, and presentation as per brand standards
- Follow standard recipes and preparation guidelines
2. Guest Service
- Greet guests warmly and take orders efficiently
- Recommend menu items and upsell where appropriate
- Handle guest queries and concerns professionally to ensure satisfaction
- Servings to be done as required.
3. Equipment Handling
- Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other café equipment efficiently
- Ensure proper grinder calibration and espresso shot quality
- Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of equipment
4. Hygiene & Cleanliness
- Maintain cleanliness of the workstation and café area at all times
- Follow all food safety and hygiene standards
- Ensure tools, equipment, and surfaces are sanitized regularly
5. Inventory & Stock Support
- Follow FIFO (First In First Out) and LIFO (Last In First Out) methods where applicable
- Assist in daily and weekly inventory checks
- Support in ordering supplies based on stock requirements
- Receive deliveries and verify quality, quantity, and expiry dates
- Maintain organized and efficient storage areas
6. Cash Handling & POS
- Process orders accurately through the POS system
- Handle cash, UPI, and card transactions responsibly
- Ensure billing accuracy and proper cash management
Skills & Requirements
- Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and espresso extraction
- Basic understanding of inventory practices (FIFO/LIFO)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Friendly, approachable, and team-oriented attitude
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and cleanliness
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience as a Barista or in a café environment is preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
