We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented senior production designer to join our interior design team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for translating conceptual and approved designs into accurate production and execution drawings, ensuring seamless coordination between the design, manufacturing, procurement, and project execution teams. The role requires strong technical expertise, project coordination skills, and a thorough understanding of interior fit-out and furniture production processes.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign Development & Documentation
- Prepare detailed production drawings, commercial drawings, and construction documentation based on approved design concepts.
- Develop furniture, joinery, and interior fit-out drawings with complete technical specifications.
- Prepare working drawings, sectional details, elevations, and fabrication details.
- Review and validate drawings for accuracy, functionality, and manufacturability.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements.
Production & Manufacturing Support
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure drawings are correctly interpreted and executed.
- Prepare material specifications, cutting lists, and production schedules.
- Optimize designs for efficient manufacturing and installation.
- Resolve technical issues related to fabrication and production.
- Conduct design reviews to minimize production errors and material wastage.
Project Coordination
- Collaborate with interior designers, architects, project managers, procurement teams, and site engineers.
- Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors regarding technical requirements.
- Participate in project meetings and provide technical guidance during project execution.
- Monitor progress and ensure production deliverables meet project timelines.
Quality Assurance
- Review completed work against approved drawings and specifications.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards throughout fabrication and installation.
- Conduct site visits and factory inspections as required.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and quality.
Team Leadership
- Guide and mentor junior production designers and drafting staff.
- Review team drawings and provide technical feedback.
- Establish best practices for drawing standards and documentation control.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in production design, interior fit-out, modular metal furniture manufacturing, or related industries.
- Proven experience in preparing detailed shop drawings and production documentation.
Skills needed
- Proficiency in SketchUp (mandatory).
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or similar design software.
- Strong understanding of furniture manufacturing, joinery, modular interiors, and fit-out works.
- Knowledge of materials, finishes, hardware, and fabrication techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
