Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Piping Design Draftsman / CAD Technician to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings, Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), and 3D models for complex piping systems. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in AutoCAD (both 2D and 3D) and experience utilizing Edraw or similar diagramming software to map out fluid and gas systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting & Modeling: Develop detailed 2D layouts, isometric drawings, and 3D models of piping systems using AutoCAD.
- Diagram Creation: Design and update Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) utilizing Edraw and AutoCAD.
- Collaboration: Work closely with mechanical and chemical engineers to translate conceptual sketches and design requirements into accurate technical specifications.
- Quality Control: Review drafts to ensure compliance with company standards, safety regulations, and industry codes (e.g., ASME, ANSI).
- Documentation: Maintain, organize, and archive project drawing packages and revisions.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Technical Expertise: Proven experience with AutoCAD 2D & 3D is required.
- Software Skills: Proficiency with Edraw (or similar PFD/P&ID software) for creating engineering schematics.
- Domain Knowledge: Solid understanding of piping systems, routing, valves, fittings, and fluid flow dynamics.
- Experience: 2+ years of drafting experience in industrial, manufacturing, oil & gas, or water treatment sectors preferred.
- Skills: High attention to detail, strong spatial reasoning, and excellent communication skills.
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
