Position: QA/QC Deputy Manager / Manager
Industry: Cryogenic Equipment & Heavy Fabrication (Pressure Vessels | Oil & Gas | Marine | Offshore)
Location: Kalol, Gujarat
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled QA/QC leader to drive quality excellence in the manufacturing of cryogenic equipment and pressure vessels. This role offers the opportunity to work on critical, high-value engineering projects while ensuring compliance with global standards like ASME & EN codes.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Systems & Certifications
- Lead and enhance IMS (ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001)
- Drive ASME U-Stamp & ISO 3834-2 certification compliance
- Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards
Technical & Code Expertise
- Review client specifications, drawings, and contracts
- Ensure compliance with ASME Sec VIII (Div 1 & 2), EN 13445, EN 13458
- Maintain and implement latest codes & standards
Quality Planning & Documentation
- Prepare and approve QAPs, ITPs, and Manufacturing Data Books
- Ensure calibration, testing, and documentation compliance
- Maintain complete traceability and quality records
Inspection & Testing Leadership
- Oversee inspections: raw materials, welding, fit-up, dimensional
- Manage NDT activities (RT, UT, MPI, LPT) and test witnessing
- Ensure hydro, pneumatic, helium leak tests and final inspections
Non-Conformance & Improvement
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions
- Handle customer complaints and ensure resolution
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate with customers & third-party inspection agencies
- Support audits, certifications, and project milestones
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop QA/QC team
- Drive a culture of quality, ownership, and continuous improvement
Eligibility Criteria
Essential
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Production Engineering
- 10–15 years of experience in QA/QC (Cryogenic / Heavy Fabrication mandatory)
- Strong exposure to Pressure Vessels, Oil & Gas, Marine, or Offshore sectors
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Certifications
- AWS-CWI / CSWIP 3.1
- NDT Level II (RT / UT / MPI / LPT)
- ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor
