Job Summary
Samms Tech SPM Automation is looking for an experienced Assembly Technician / Assembly Fitter for assembling Special Purpose Machines (SPM), Fixtures, and Automation Equipment.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assemble SPM machines, fixtures, jigs, and automation systems as per assembly drawings.
- Install mechanical components such as pneumatic cylinders, linear guides, bearings, motors, and sensors.
- Perform machine alignment, fitting, and adjustments.
- Read and understand mechanical and assembly drawings.
- Support machine trials, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Identify and rectify assembly-related issues.
- Coordinate with Design, Production, and Electrical teams.
- Ensure quality and timely completion of assembly work.
- Follow safety procedures and company standards.
Required Skills
- Experience in SPM Machine Assembly.
- Knowledge of Mechanical Fitting and Assembly.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of Pneumatic Components.
- Hands-on experience with assembly tools and equipment.
- Good troubleshooting skills.
