Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage cardiovascular diseases, including:
- Coronary artery disease
- Heart failure
- Arrhythmias
- Hypertension
- Perform and interpret cardiac diagnostic procedures, such as:
- ECG, TMT (Stress Test)
- 2D Echo / Doppler studies
- Holter monitoring
- Stress echocardiography
- Conduct interventional procedures (if qualified), including:
- Coronary angiography
- Angioplasty (PTCA)
- Pacemaker implantation
- Provide OPD and IPD consultations and manage admitted patients.
- Respond to cardiac emergencies (e.g., MI, cardiac arrest).
- Coordinate with cardiac surgeons, intensivists, and other specialties.
- Ensure pre- and post-procedure patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation.
- Participate in clinical audits, CMEs, and quality improvement programs.
- Guide and train junior doctors and staff.
- Follow NABH standards and hospital policies.
Qualification & Experience
- Educational Qualification:
- DM / DNB in Cardiology
- MD (Medicine) + Fellowship in Cardiology (if applicable)
- Experience:
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a cardiologist
- Experience in interventional cardiology preferred (if applicable)
