Position Title:
SSC Coordinator (Secondary School Certificate Coordinator)
Job Summary:
The SSC Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring the academic activities of the SSC section. The role involves ensuring effective curriculum implementation, maintaining academic standards, supporting teachers, monitoring student performance, and facilitating smooth communication among students, parents, teachers, and school management.
Key Responsibilities:Academic Management
- Plan and oversee the implementation of the SSC curriculum.
- Ensure timely completion of the syllabus as per board guidelines.
- Monitor lesson plans, teaching methodologies, and classroom practices.
- Coordinate examinations, assessments, and result analysis.
- Develop strategies to improve student academic performance.
Teacher Supervision & Support
- Guide and mentor teachers in lesson planning and classroom management.
- Conduct regular classroom observations and provide constructive feedback.
- Organize teacher training programs and professional development activities.
- Assist in recruitment, induction, and performance evaluation of teachers.
Student Development
- Monitor students' academic progress and attendance.
- Identify students requiring additional academic support and coordinate remedial programs.
- Address student concerns related to academics and discipline.
- Promote holistic development through co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
Parent Communication
- Conduct parent-teacher meetings and academic review sessions.
- Communicate student progress, achievements, and areas of improvement to parents.
- Address parent queries and concerns professionally and promptly.
Examination & Assessment Management
- Prepare examination schedules and coordinate smooth conduct of exams.
- Ensure proper evaluation and timely declaration of results.
- Analyze examination data and prepare performance reports.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of academic records.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain academic documentation and records.
- Ensure compliance with SSC Board regulations and school policies.
- Prepare academic reports, timetables, and annual plans.
- Coordinate school events, competitions, and educational programs.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure adherence to SSC Board norms and educational standards.
- Support school accreditation and quality assurance initiatives.
- Monitor implementation of academic policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Education or relevant subject.
- B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) mandatory.
- Minimum 5–7 years of teaching experience in SSC schools.
- Previous experience in academic coordination or leadership roles preferred.
