Job Summary:
We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Store Officer to manage all store operations efficiently at our Rourkela plant. The candidate will be responsible for inventory control, material handling, stock verification, and ensuring smooth inward & outward movement of materials.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing materials.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure proper inventory control.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock verification.
- Prevent stock shortages and overstock situations.
Material Receipt & Dispatch
- Verify materials received as per purchase orders and delivery challans.
- Ensure proper documentation during inward and outward movement of goods.
- Coordinate with purchase and production teams for timely material availability.
Store Operations
- Maintain proper storage of raw materials, consumables, tools, and spare parts.
- Ensure FIFO (First In First Out) implementation wherever applicable.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in store areas.
- Proper labeling and arrangement of materials.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain GRN, stock registers, issue slips, and store records.
- Prepare daily stock reports and MIS reports.
- Update ERP/software entries related to store transactions.
- Report stock discrepancies immediately.
Coordination & Compliance
- Coordinate with production, procurement, accounts, and logistics teams.
- Support internal audits and physical verification.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and store procedures.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of inventory management and store operations.
- Good understanding of stock audits and documentation.
- Basic knowledge of ERP / SAP / inventory software.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and reporting.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- Experience in manufacturing / plant operations preferred.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Honest, disciplined, and responsible.
