Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales and Business Development: o Actively promote and sell the company’s food and beverage products to general trade customers (retailers, wholesalers, small grocery stores, etc.). o Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and new customers in the general trade channel. o Identify new business opportunities, expanding the customer base by targeting potential clients and markets. o Achieve sales targets and KPIs as set by the Sales Manager or company leadership. o Monitor competitor activity and market trends to identify potential opportunities and challenges.
2. Order Management & Execution: o Manage the full sales cycle from order taking, product delivery, and post-sales follow-up. o Ensure timely and accurate order processing, ensuring that all customers receive the correct products and quantities on time. o Follow up on payment collection from customers as per the agreed terms. o Ensure product availability by managing stock levels and coordinating with the distribution or supply chain teams.
3. Product Knowledge & Market Intelligence: o Stay up-to-date with product information, promotions, and industry trends. o Educate customers on the company’s product offerings, benefits, and usage. o Provide feedback to the marketing and product development teams based on customer preferences, competitor activity, and market demands.
4. Customer Relationship Management: o Build strong, long-lasting relationships with existing customers and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. o Resolve any customer issues or complaints related to products, deliveries, or services in a timely and professional manner. o Conduct regular in-store visits to monitor product placement, stock levels, and promotional activities.
5. Sales Reporting and Documentation: o Prepare and submit regular sales reports, detailing activities, customer visits, and achieved targets. o Monitor and report on sales performance, market trends, competitor activities, and product demand.
6. Merchandising and Promotions: o Ensure that products are effectively merchandised in stores and aligned with company standards. o Coordinate promotional activities, including product displays, discounts, and in-store sampling, to drive sales and increase product visibility. o Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure local marketing initiatives are executed effectively.
7. Collaboration & Coordination: o Work closely with the logistics and distribution teams to ensure timely delivery and product availability. o Coordinate with the credit control team to manage customer credit and ensure timely payment collection. o Liaise with other departments (e.g., marketing, supply chain) to ensure smooth execution of sales strategies and programs.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. A background in food and beverage or FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) is an advantage.
Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in sales, preferably in the food and beverage industry or general trade.

o Ability to manage relationships with diverse types of customers.
o Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic sales reporting tools.

Working Hours: Standard working hours with flexibility to accommodate client schedules and sales calls.
