Role Summary
Responsible for managing day-to-day production operations of assembly lines, ensuring achievement of production targets while maintaining quality, productivity, safety, and cost objectives in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily production activities and ensure smooth assembly line operations.
- Achieve production targets, productivity, and delivery schedules.
- Plan manpower and optimize line balancing and efficiency.
- Reduce downtime, bottlenecks, and process losses.
- Coordinate with Stores, Quality, Maintenance, and Planning teams.
- Ensure product quality and adherence to manufacturing standards.
- Lead and develop supervisors and production operators.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and monitor production KPIs.
- Ensure compliance with safety and housekeeping standards.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of assembly line manufacturing and production planning.
- Experience in manpower planning, line balancing, and productivity improvement.
- Good understanding of quality systems and Lean Manufacturing tools such as 5S and Kaizen.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination abilities.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in Air Conditioner manufacturing is preferred.
- Candidates from Refrigerators, Washing Machines, Consumer Durables, Home Appliances, or similar assembly manufacturing industries may also apply.
- Exposure to high-volume manufacturing and automated assembly lines is desirable.
