Position Overview
The candidate’s primary responsibility will be to support end-to-end Intercompany accounting activities, including intercompany rebilling’s across EMEA, coordination with APAC and US teams for cross-regional transactions & rebills, netting settlements, transfer pricing (TP) documentation support, and intercompany account reconciliations. This role requires performing detailed accounting analysis, identifying trends and variances, out of balances and providing insights to support accurate financial reporting and decision-making. Additionally, the candidate will contribute to the month-end close and reporting process, support SOX compliance activities, and provide documentation and support for internal and external audits related to Intercompany accounting.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare and review intercompany rebills using standardized workflow templates, rebill journals, and related accounting entries across EMEA entities, with coordination across APAC and US teams for cross regional transactions
- Assess VAT implications of intercompany transactions and determine appropriate tax codes for rebills and recharge activities, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations and company policies.
- Perform intercompany account reconciliations, aging analysis, and balance sheet reviews to ensure timely resolution of reconciling items and accurate financial reporting
- Investigate and resolve intercompany discrepancies, settlement differences, and out-of-balance positions by partnering with business and finance stakeholders
- Manage EMEA intercompany netting processes, including FX netting clearing, settlement monitoring, monthly netting report preparation, and coordination with Treasury, Cash Management, and regional stakeholders to ensure timely settlement of intercompany balances.
- Prepare and review intercompany P&L transactions across EMEA entities, partnering with Transfer Pricing teams to support TP documentation and address related queries
- Collaborate with GL, FP&A, and Marketing teams across EMEA to support intercompany rebill processes, while coordinating with US and APAC stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely allocation of shared marketing and operational costs
- Identify process improvement and automation opportunities to drive efficiency, standardization, and simplification of intercompany accounting activities.
- Support statutory audits, internal audits, and financial reporting requirements by providing analysis, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for intercompany transactions & out of balances. Coordinate with regional teams for balance confirmations to auditors.
- Maintain and review documented procedures and ensure compliance with SOX requirements

Education and Experience:
- 5+ Years of experience in a similar finance / accounting role preferably in a shared service environment
- Proficiency in Excel and fair understanding of general ledger applications (SAP experience a plus)
- Accounting, finance, business or economics education / qualification
- US GAAP, IFRS and European statutory financial statement experience a plus
