We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented professional to join our Machine Shop (Special Metals Division) team in the role of Associate Manager.
Job Purpose:
Associate Manager is responsible for leading machining operations, optimizing resources to ensure timely production, dispatch readiness and compliance with quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage shift manpower for conditioning and finishing operations.
- Monitor and plan of tools and consumables for smooth shift activities.
- Ensure machining of forgings as per approved drawings, tolerances and quality requirements.
- Conduct dimensional inspection during in-process and final stage of production.
- Coordinate and execute dimensional inspections with customers and third-party inspectors.
- Assess machining feasibility for new enquiries and provide technical inputs.
- Coordinate with PPC for daily, weekly and monthly production and dispatch planning.
- Ensure packaging, marking, and documentation readiness for dispatch materials
- Monitor tool life, machine utilization and highlight/report any deviations
- SAP activities for material transfer.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education: Diploma (Mechanical / Production)
Experience: 10-12 Years
Technical Expertise:
- Hands-on experience with lathe, VTL, milling, boring, grinding, plano-miller and band saw machines.
- Experience in machining and dimensional inspection of alloy steel and stainless steel.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Stronge knowledge of machining processes, tolerances, and inspection techniques.
- Proficiency in SAP, production reporting and documentation for traceability.
- Strong planning and manpower management capabilities.
- Effective coordination with PPC, dispatch and cross-functional teams.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting expertise in machining operations.
- Familiarity with industry quality standards and compliance requirements.
