Job Summary
The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving student admissions, increasing brand visibility, developing strategic partnerships, and achieving revenue targets across all centres. The BDM will lead and monitor the performance of PROs and Admission Counselors while implementing effective marketing and business development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development
- Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve admission and revenue targets.
- Identify new business opportunities, institutional tie-ups, and corporate collaborations.
- Build relationships with schools, colleges, coaching centres, educational consultants, and corporate organizations.
- Generate quality student leads through various marketing channels.
2. Admission Growth
- Ensure monthly admission targets are achieved across all centres.
- Monitor lead generation, follow-up activities, and conversion rates.
- Guide PROs and Admission Counselors to improve enquiry-to-admission conversions.
- Conduct admission review meetings with centre teams.
3. Marketing & Promotions
- Plan and execute marketing campaigns, seminars, career guidance programmes, education fairs, and promotional events.
- Coordinate digital marketing activities with the marketing team.
- Identify local marketing opportunities to increase brand awareness.
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends.
4. Team Management
- Supervise and support PROs and Admission Counselors across all centres.
- Conduct regular training on counselling, sales techniques, communication, and customer service.
- Monitor staff productivity and performance.
- Set KPIs and conduct periodic performance reviews.
5. Centre Coordination
- Visit all centres regularly to review business performance.
- Coordinate with Centre Heads regarding admissions, marketing activities, and operational requirements.
- Ensure standard business development practices are followed across all branches.
6. Reporting & MIS
Prepare and submit:
- Daily Lead Status Report
- Daily Call Report
- Weekly Admission Report
- Monthly Admission & Revenue Report
- Marketing Activity Report
- Centre Visit Report
- Competitor Analysis Report
- Business Development Progress Report
7. Customer Relationship Management
- Maintain strong relationships with prospective students, parents, institutions, and corporate partners.
- Resolve admission-related issues promptly.
- Ensure excellent customer service throughout the admission process.
8. Compliance
- Maintain confidentiality of company information.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and ethical business practices.
- Coordinate with management on strategic initiatives.

Qualifications
- MBA in Marketing / Sales / Business Administration preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or Marketing.
- At least 2–3 years of experience managing a team.
- Experience in the Education, Aviation, Hospitality, Training, or Service Industry is preferred.
