Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Accountant Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate should have 1–2 years of accounting experience and be capable of handling daily accounting activities, maintaining financial records, and supporting the accounts department with accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain daily accounting records and financial transactions.
- Prepare sales and purchase entries.
- Record receipts, payments, and journal entries.
- Handle bank reconciliation and cash book maintenance.
- Generate invoices and follow up on customer payments.
- Maintain supplier accounts and payment records.
- Assist in GST-related documentation and filing.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and MIS reports.
- Maintain employee expense records and reimbursements.
- Organize and maintain accounting documents and files.
- Coordinate with other departments for financial documentation.
- Perform general administrative duties related to the accounts department.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent.
- 1–2 years of experience as an Accountant Assistant or in a similar accounting role.
- Good knowledge of Tally Prime, Microsoft Excel, MS Word, and GST basics.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles.
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with inventory and stock accounting.
- Knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel formulas and reports.
- Ability to prepare financial statements and reconcile accounts.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
