Job Brief:
Ahmedabad Textile Industry’s Research Association (ATIRA) is a premier research institution established in 1947, recognized for its extensive contributions to the textile industry. Diversifying into various domains, ATIRA excels in environmental audit and is a Schedule – 1 auditor under the Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB). We seek a Senior Chemical Engineer to join our Environment Engineering Division, ensuring environmental compliance and sustainability for industries across Gujarat and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive environmental audit and prepare environment audit report as per the Environment Audit Scheme of GPCB.
- Perform on-site sampling and monitoring of environmental parameters with respect to Ambient Air Quality Monitoring (AAQM), Stack Monitoring, Water /Waste Water Sampling, Noise Level Monitoring, Hazardous Waste Management and other environmental aspects.
- Prepare detailed compliance and adequacy reports with respect to No Increase Pollution Load of product mix application including process flow diagram and mass balance of different product.
- Prepare detailed feasibility and soil remediation study.
- Design and conduct treatability studies for ETP optimization.
- Evaluate and certify Environmental Management Systems (EMS).
- Develop innovative pollution control solutions.
- Provide consultancy on waste management and effluent treatment.
Qualifications:
- For Senior Chemical Engineer:
- Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field from a recognized university.
Experience: 2-5 Years
- Extensive experience in environmental audits, ETP design, and EMS certifications for Environmental Engineers.
- Proven experience in environmental chemistry, Process Flow Diagram, Chemical Reaction & Mass Balance of different product as a Chemical Engineers.
Competence/skills required:
- Strong analytical and project management skills.
