Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive consultation, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with various types of malignancies.
- Conduct OPD consultations and manage admitted oncology patients.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on diagnosis, disease stage, clinical condition, and treatment guidelines.
- Manage patients undergoing chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, hormonal therapy, and other systemic cancer treatments as appropriate.
- Monitor treatment response, adverse effects, and complications and modify treatment plans accordingly.
- Manage oncology emergencies and treatment-related complications.
- Coordinate with Surgical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Pathology, Radiology, and other specialties for multidisciplinary cancer care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary tumor board discussions and formulate appropriate treatment strategies.
- Provide pre- and post-treatment counseling to patients and their families.
- Conduct regular clinical rounds and ensure continuity and quality of patient care.
- Provide clinical guidance and supervision to junior doctors and residents.
- Maintain accurate medical records, treatment plans, and clinical documentation.
- Follow evidence-based clinical protocols, hospital policies, patient-safety standards, and NABH requirements.
- Maintain high standards of professional ethics, communication, and patient-centered care.
Candidate Profile
- DM in Medical Oncology from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 5 years of post-DM experience as a Medical Oncologist.
- Strong clinical expertise in the diagnosis and management of cancer patients.
- Experience in chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and management of treatment-related complications.
- Good understanding of multidisciplinary cancer care and evidence-based oncology practices.
- Excellent clinical decision-making, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Candidates with experience in reputed multispecialty/super-specialty or cancer hospitals will be preferred.
