Job Summary :
True Money Gold is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Jewellery Appraiser to join our Coimbatore branch. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating gold, silver, and precious jewellery with accuracy, ensuring fair valuation while delivering excellent customer service. The candidate should possess strong technical knowledge of gold appraisal methods, purity testing, and valuation procedures.
Key ResponsibilitiesGold & Jewellery Appraisal :
- Evaluate and appraise gold, silver, and other precious jewellery items.
- Determine gold purity using Karat Meter, XRF Machine, Acid Test, and Touchstone methods.
- Perform accurate stone deduction and net weight calculations.
- Verify BIS Hallmark standards and identify genuine hallmark jewellery.
- Detect imitation, plated, duplicate, or counterfeit jewellery.
Valuation & Documentation :
- Calculate jewellery value based on purity and prevailing gold market rates.
- Perform melting deductions, wastage calculations, and final valuation.
- Maintain accurate appraisal reports and valuation records.
- Ensure all documentation complies with company standards.
Customer Service :
- Explain appraisal results clearly and professionally to customers.
- Address customer queries related to jewellery valuation and purity testing.
- Deliver a transparent, trustworthy, and customer-friendly appraisal experience.
Operational Responsibilities :
- Handle customer jewellery safely and securely throughout the appraisal process.
- Maintain appraisal instruments and testing equipment in good working condition.
- Coordinate with branch operations to ensure smooth daily workflow.
Compliance & Professional Ethics :
- Follow company policies, operational guidelines, and appraisal procedures.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of customer information and appraisal records.
- Report any suspicious or fraudulent jewellery immediately to management.
Required Skills & QualificationsTechnical Skills :
- Strong knowledge of jewellery appraisal and gold testing techniques.
- Hands-on experience with Karat Meter and XRF Machine is preferred.
- Knowledge of BIS Hallmark verification.
- Understanding of purity calculation, stone deduction, and jewellery valuation.
- Awareness of current gold market rates and valuation practices.

Eligibility Criteria :
- Minimum Qualification: 10th / 12th / Any Degree
- Experience in Jewellery Appraisal or Gold Loan Appraisal is preferred.
- Freshers with Jewellery Appraiser certification or training are welcome to apply.
