We are looking for an experienced and active Estate Manager to look after a family property portfolio in Eastern Uttar Pradesh. The portfolio has commercial properties in Varanasi city and both commercial and agricultural land in Azamgarh district. The right person will manage farm and agricultural land in a hands-on way, and will also look after the commercial properties, vendors, and tenants. This role suits someone based in or willing to move to the Azamgarh area who is comfortable using basic technology for reporting and monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Agricultural Property Management: Plan and manage the day-to-day work on the farmland. Manage local staff and workers. Suggest and try new, farming-related uses of the land to improve income. Keep farm equipment and land in good condition.
- Commercial Property: Look after the commercial properties in Varanasi and Azamgarh. Deal with tenants and service providers. Keep track of rent and basic legal matters together with the owner.
- Vendors, Labour and People: Manage vendors, contractors, and staff at all sites. Check their work and costs. Be the main local contact person for all the properties.
- Reporting and Monitoring: Send regular simple reports (work done, money spent, site condition) to the owner. Use a phone, photos, video, and where useful drone footage to record and check the land and properties. Keep clear digital records. This is an important part of the job.
- Budget and Records: Make simple budgets, track spending, keep records of farm output and costs, and follow local rules for land and property.
Qualifications and Skills
We do not require a specific degree. Experience in farm management, property or estate management, facility management, or managing land is preferred. Candidates with strong local experience are welcome to apply.
Strong computer skills are required. The person should be comfortable with MS Office and Excel, a smartphone and its apps, email, and keeping records on a computer. Comfort with simple technology tools (drone footage, photos and video, online reports and dashboards) is a strong plus. Any training or education in computers or IT is an added advantage.
Must Haves
Good local knowledge of the Azamgarh and Varanasi area is a must. Fluency in Hindi is a must (some working English is helpful for reports). A valid driving licence and willingness to travel between sites within the area are required.
About the Role
This is an independent role for a self-starter who can work on their own and take leadership. There is excellent potential to grow in the role.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
