AutoCAD Designer – Civil Background (Production)Position Overview
We are seeking a precise and technically sound AutoCAD Designer (Civil) to join our factory production team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating detailed 2D/3D execution drawings, shop drawings, section details, and structural fabrication layouts directly for factory manufacturing and assembly.
You will bridge the gap between civil structural concepts, architectural inputs, and actual factory production—working closely with factory managers and production engineers to ensure seamless execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Production & Shop Drawings: Draft detailed 2D/3D execution drawings, structural joinery, plan layouts, elevations, and section views tailored for factory production.
- Civil Layout Integration: Interpret civil/architectural site drawings, structural plans, and site measurement data to create production-ready manufacturing drafts.
- Factory Coordination: Collaborate daily with factory floor supervisors and production teams to resolve layout discrepancies, check manufacturing feasibility, and address structural tolerances.
- Revision Control: Update and maintain drawing revisions based on shop floor feedback, site changes, or quality control reports.
Key Requirements & Qualifications
- Mandatory Educational Background:
- Diploma or B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering (Mandatory).
- Technical & Software Skills:
- Expertise in AutoCAD (2D & 3D). Knowledge of Civil 3D, Revit, or SketchUp is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of civil detailing, structural drawing standards, material properties, and load/tolerance basics.
- Ability to generate precise material estimation, cutting lists, and shop floor BOMs.
- Experience:
- 1–4 years of hands-on experience in drafting civil/structural/production drawings, preferably in a factory, pre-fab, or manufacturing setup.
