About the Role
Empowering Assurance Systems Pvt Ltd is looking for enthusiastic professionals to support food safety auditing, certification, consultancy, documentation, implementation and training activities across food manufacturing, processing, packaging, storage, distribution, catering and allied industries.
Candidates with knowledge or experience in ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, HACCP and GMP are encouraged to apply.
Freshers with relevant food safety qualifications and experienced professionals are welcome.
Key Responsibilities
- Support internal, supplier, gap assessment and certification audits.
- Assist Lead Auditors during Stage 1, Stage 2, surveillance and recertification audits.
- Conduct food safety inspections covering production, storage, dispatch, utilities and hygiene practices.
- Prepare audit plans, checklists, sampling plans and audit reports.
- Review HACCP plans, hazard analysis, CCPs, critical limits, monitoring and verification records.
- Assess PRPs, OPRPs, GMP and food safety controls.
- Prepare and review nonconformity reports, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain food safety manuals, HACCP plans, SOPs, GMP procedures, registers and records.
- Support FSSC 22000 requirements including food fraud, food defence, allergen management and environmental monitoring.
- Support Halal and Kosher compliance documentation where applicable.
- Assist clients with ISO 22000/FSSC 22000 implementation, gap assessments and certification readiness.
- Conduct food safety awareness and internal auditor training as a Tutor.
- Support regulatory and compliance activities including FSSAI and export requirements.
- Coordinate audit schedules, client communication, documentation and follow-up activities.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of ISO 22000 and Food Safety Management Systems.
- Understanding of the 7 HACCP principles.
- Knowledge of food safety hazards including biological, chemical, physical and allergenic hazards.
- Knowledge of GMP, hygiene, sanitation, pest control and cleaning practices.
- Understanding of food safety risk assessment and traceability.
- Knowledge of audit planning, evidence collection and reporting.
- Root cause analysis and corrective action verification.
- Good documentation and technical report-writing skills.
- Good communication and client-handling skills.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Willingness to travel across India and overseas.
Preferred Skills
- FSSC 22000 additional requirements.
- Food fraud prevention and food defence.
- Allergen management and environmental monitoring.
- GFSI-benchmarked certification schemes.
- Halal and Kosher certification requirements.
- FSSAI, Codex Alimentarius and export market requirements.
- Food laboratory, microbiology, QA/QC or food manufacturing experience.
- Experience with certification bodies, consultancy, inspection or training organisations.
Preferred Qualifications
- ISO 22000 Internal Auditor / Lead Auditor
- FSSC 22000 Auditor qualification
- HACCP / Food Safety Internal Auditor
- GMP / Food Safety certification
- Lead Auditor qualification is an advantage.
Education
Any Degree.
Preferred backgrounds include Food Technology, Food Science, Dairy Technology, Agricultural Engineering, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Nutrition & Dietetics, Food Processing Technology, Veterinary Science, Fisheries Technology or Life Sciences.
Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications may apply.
Experience
Freshers and experienced candidates are welcome.
Freshers with knowledge of food safety, HACCP, food hygiene, quality management or food processing environments may apply.
Experienced candidates with food safety management systems, HACCP implementation, ISO 22000/FSSC 22000, GMP, food QA/QC, laboratory, consultancy or certification experience are preferred.
Salary & Benefits
₹20,000 – ₹50,000 per month, depending on qualifications, experience, auditor certifications and technical competency.
Empanel Auditor & Tutor engagements are remunerated per audit day / training day.
Travel, accommodation and audit-day allowances are provided as per company policy.
