Data Engineering (Immediate Joiners Preferred)

We are seeking experienced Data Engineers to join a high-visibility enterprise data modernization initiative. The selected candidates will be part of a Datastore Migration Factory Team responsible for migrating critical data assets from legacy on-premises Data Lake environments to a modern AWS-hosted Lakehouse platform.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize scalable data ingestion and transformation pipelines.
- Migrate existing data assets and workflows from on-premises Data Lakes to AWS-based Lakehouse architecture.
- Refactor and modernize extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
- Convert and optimize legacy SQL and Spark workloads for Snowflake and Apache Iceberg environments.
- Ensure data integrity, reconciliation, validation, and quality throughout migration activities.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, platform teams, and data consumers to support migration planning and execution.
- Implement best practices related to data lineage, governance, performance optimization, and scalability.
Required Skills
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering.
- Strong experience with AWS Cloud and data migration projects.
- Expertise in Python, SQL, Spark, and large-scale data processing.
- Experience building and maintaining data ingestion frameworks and ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Strong understanding of Data Lake and Lakehouse architectures.
- Knowledge of Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCDs), Temporal Data Modeling, Data Lineage, Schema Evolution, Data Partitioning, and Clustering.
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices, SDLC processes, and deployment automation.
Preferred Skills
- Snowflake and Apache Iceberg.
- Kafka, Hadoop (HDFS/Hive), and Kubernetes.
- Experience with JSON, Avro, and Parquet data formats.
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts including normalization, denormalization, and surrogate key design.
