Job Summary
The Assistant Operator supports the CI Flexo Printing Machine Operator in operating and maintaining the printing machine to ensure smooth production, quality printing, and timely completion of production orders. The role includes machine setup assistance, material handling, ink preparation, cleaning, and maintaining workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the machine operator in setting up the CI Flexo printing machine for production.
- Load printing materials such as films, paper, plates, sleeves, and inks.
- Support in color matching and ink preparation as instructed.
- Monitor machine performance during production.
- Help maintain print quality and reduce wastage.
- Clean machine parts, cylinders, trays, and surrounding work area.
- Assist in changing jobs, sleeves, plates, and rolls.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of raw materials and finished goods.
- Follow production schedules and supervisor instructions.
- Maintain safety standards and use PPE while working.
- Report machine issues, defects, or production problems to the operator or supervisor.
- Support preventive maintenance and routine machine checks.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of printing or manufacturing processes.
- Ability to work in shifts and under production targets.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and quality awareness.
- Physically fit to handle machine-related work.
Qualification
- ITI / Diploma / Intermediate / Any Degree (preferred).
- Experience in flexographic printing or packaging industry is an added advantage.
Experience
- Fresher or 1–2 years of experience in CI Flexo printing operations.
Working Conditions
- Factory/manufacturing environment.
- Rotational shifts may be required.
- Standing for long hours and handling production materials.
