Job Title: Supervisor – Services
Department: Administration / Campus Services
Job Purpose
The Supervisor – Services is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all non-academic support services of the college to ensure a safe, clean, disciplined, and well-maintained campus environment that supports smooth academic and administrative functioning.
Key Responsibilities
1. Campus & Facility Supervision
- Supervise housekeeping, sanitation, cleanliness, and maintenance of classrooms, labs, offices, washrooms, hostels, and common areas.
- Ensure timely repair and maintenance of electrical, plumbing, furniture, and civil works.
- Monitor water supply, power backup, and campus utilities.
2. Support Staff Management
- Supervise and allocate duties to housekeeping staff, helpers, gardeners, security staff, and outsourced personnel.
- Maintain attendance, duty rosters, and leave records of support staff.
- Ensure discipline, punctuality, and proper conduct among service staff.
3. Security & Safety
- Coordinate with security staff to ensure campus safety and discipline.
- Monitor entry/exit points, visitor registers, CCTV functioning, and emergency protocols.
- Report any safety hazards, incidents, or violations to the administration.
4. Vendor & Outsourced Service Coordination
- Liaise with vendors for housekeeping, pest control, waste management, transport, and other outsourced services.
- Ensure service quality as per contract terms.
- Report service gaps and recommend improvements.
5. Event & Academic Support
- Arrange classrooms, furniture, equipment, and logistics for exams, seminars, workshops, placements, and events.
- Coordinate with academic departments for infrastructure and service requirements.
- Ensure readiness before the start of semesters and examinations.
6. Inventory & Resource Management
- Maintain records of consumables, cleaning materials, tools, and equipment.
- Monitor usage and raise requisitions when required.
- Prevent misuse or wastage of college resources.
7. Reporting & Compliance
- Submit daily/weekly reports on campus services and staff performance.
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies, hygiene standards, and safety norms.
- Assist administration during inspections, audits, or accreditation visits.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Graduate (any discipline preferred).
- Diploma/Certification in Facility Management or Administration is an added advantage.
Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in supervisory roles, preferably in an educational institution, hospital, or corporate facility.
