Key Responsibilities
- Order Picking: Navigate the warehouse to pull the correct products and quantities from inventory based on order slips or digital scanners.
- Quality Control: Inspect items for damage or defects before placing them into shipping boxes.
- Packaging: Select the appropriate box sizes and use packing materials (like bubble wrap or packing peanuts) to protect items during transit.
- Labeling & Shipping: Seal packages securely, attach accurate shipping labels, and route them to the loading dock.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, report discrepancies to supervisors, and assist with stocking shelves and conducting cycle counts.
- Safety & Maintenance: Adhere strictly to OSHA and facility safety guidelines while maintaining a clean, hazard-free workspace.
Core Requirements & Skills
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift heavy objects (often \(30\)–\(50 \text{ lbs}\)) for extended periods.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with using warehouse management software, barcode scanners, and automated conveyor systems.
- Time Management: Capable of meeting strict daily quotas and working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Organization: Detail-oriented mindset to ensure the right product reaches the right customer without errors.
Typical Working Conditions
