We are looking for a proactive and organized Purchase Assistant to support the procurement team in sourcing materials, processing purchase orders, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring the timely availability of materials required for production and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in sourcing materials, components, and services from approved vendors.
- Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) as per company requirements.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Coordinate with production, stores, and accounts departments regarding purchase requirements.
- Maintain accurate purchase records, vendor details, and procurement documentation.
- Compare supplier quotations and assist in vendor selection.
- Monitor inventory levels and support timely procurement to avoid stock shortages.
- Resolve delivery, quantity, and quality issues with suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
Qualification
Experience
- 0–3 years of experience in Purchase, Procurement, or Supply Chain.
- Freshers with good communication and computer skills may also be considered.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of procurement and vendor management.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and ERP software (preferred).
- Good negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
