A Production Manager for a fastener division oversees manufacturing operations for items like bolts, nuts, and screws. They manage cold forging, thread rolling, heat treatment, and quality compliance to meet output targets safely and efficiently
Key Responsibilities
- Process Operations: Manage cold heading, wire drawing, thread rolling, heat treatment, and surface plating lines.
- Production Planning: Build shift schedules and align output with procurement, tooling, and sales demands.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor rejections and enforce standards like ISO, ASTM, or IATF.
- Maintenance Coordination: Reduce machine downtime and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce shop floor safety protocols, 5S housekeeping, and lean practices.
- Required Qualifications
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering.
- Experience: 5 to 10 years in manufacturing, with hands-on experience in fastener production, forging, or heat treatment.
- Skills: Strong team leadership, resource planning, problem-solving, and basic factory software or Excel literacy.
Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹200,000.00 per month
