We are looking for an experienced Diesel & Vehicle Fleet Manager to manage the RMC plant's diesel consumption, transit mixers, concrete pumps, loaders, and other plant vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain daily diesel receipt, issue, and consumption records.
- Monitor diesel consumption vehicle-wise and identify excess consumption or leakage.
- Maintain complete vehicle-wise data including registration number, driver, running hours/km, fuel consumption, servicing, and repair history.
- Track transit mixer (TM) trips, kilometer readings, operating hours, and availability.
- Monitor RMC plant vehicles, concrete pumps, loaders, tankers, and other equipment.
- Maintain vehicle logbooks and daily movement records.
- Coordinate with drivers regarding vehicle utilization, fuel usage, breakdowns, and maintenance.
- Monitor vehicle service schedules, oil changes, tyre replacements, battery condition, and repairs.
- Maintain records of diesel stock and reconcile physical stock with book records.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly diesel and vehicle MIS reports.
- Calculate and monitor diesel consumption per km, per hour, and per cubic meter of RMC, wherever applicable.
- Coordinate with the plant, dispatch, maintenance, and accounts teams.
- Verify fuel bills, vehicle repair bills, service invoices, and related documents.
- Maintain proper documentation for vehicle insurance, PUC, fitness, permits, and other statutory documents.
- Identify opportunities to reduce diesel costs, vehicle downtime, and unnecessary operating expenses.
Candidate Requirements
- Graduate / Diploma preferred.
- 2–5 years of experience in fleet management, diesel management, logistics, RMC, construction, or transport operations.
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel and vehicle data management.
- Good understanding of diesel stock and consumption reconciliation.
- Experience maintaining vehicle-wise MIS and operational reports.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to work at an RMC plant and manage multiple vehicles/drivers.
- Candidates with RMC, construction, or heavy-vehicle fleet experience will be preferred.
