Job Summary
We are seeking a licensed and experienced Pharmacist with a minimum of 2 years of experience to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications accurately, reviewing prescriptions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing medication counseling to patients while maintaining the highest standards of pharmaceutical care.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and verify prescriptions to ensure accuracy, appropriateness, and patient safety.
- Dispense medications in accordance with physician prescriptions and applicable regulations.
- Provide patient counseling regarding medication usage, dosage, side effects, storage, and precautions.
- Monitor for drug interactions, contraindications, and potential adverse reactions.
- Maintain accurate pharmacy records, inventory logs, and dispensing documentation.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of medications, including temperature-sensitive products.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including stock control, expiry monitoring, and reordering of medicines.
- Coordinate with physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding medication-related queries.
- Comply with pharmacy laws, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives to promote safe medication practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) from a recognized institution.
- Valid Pharmacist Registration/License with the appropriate Pharmacy Council.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Pharmacist in a hospital, clinic, or retail pharmacy setting.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products, dosage calculations, and dispensing practices.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and patient counseling skills.
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems and documentation.
