Job Overview
The Office Cleaner / Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and organized work environment across all office facilities. This role ensures high hygiene standards, safety compliance, and a welcoming space for employees, clients, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Routine Cleaning: Sweep, mop, vacuum, and scrub floors in offices, hallways, breakrooms, and reception areas.
- Sanitation: Disinfect high-touch surfaces daily (doorknobs, light switches, elevator buttons, handrails, desks).
- Restroom Maintenance: Clean, sanitize, and restock office restrooms multiple times daily (soap, paper towels, toilet paper).
- Waste Management: Empty trash cans, recycling bins, and shredding bins; replace liners and transport waste to disposal areas.
- Kitchen & Breakroom Upkeep: Clean countertops, sinks, tables, and exterior of appliances (microwaves, refrigerators, coffee stations).
- Inventory Control: Track cleaning supply stock (detergents, paper products, trash bags) and notify management when supplies are low.
- Deep Cleaning: Perform monthly or quarterly deep cleaning tasks (window washing, carpet spot-cleaning, deep floor waxing).
- Facility Support: Report facility damages, plumbing leaks, electrical issues, or safety hazards immediately to maintenance staff.
Requirements & Qualifications
RequirementDescriptionExperience1+ years of commercial cleaning or janitorial experience preferred.Physical StaminaAbility to lift up to 40 lbs (18 kg), stand/walk for extended periods, bend, and reach.Chemical SafetyFamiliarity with standard cleaning chemicals, safe dilution, and handling practices (COSHH / OSHA awareness).ReliabilityStrong work ethic, punctuality, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Soft SkillsDiscrete, trustworthy, and respectful of confidential office documents/materials.
Work Environment & Schedule
- Hours: Full-time or Part-time (Often shift-based: early morning, evening after business hours, or weekend coverage).
- Equipment Used: Commercial vacuum cleaners, floor polishers, mops, chemical sprayers, PPE.
Pay: ₹14,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
