Job Title: Assistant Engineer

About Us:
West Downs The Heritage Resort is a premium heritage property in Ooty, offering a blend of classic charm and modern comfort. We are looking for a skilled Assistant Engineer to support the maintenance and smooth operation of the property.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in maintaining all engineering systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs.
Conduct regular inspections of rooms, public areas, and equipment.
Attend to guest maintenance requests promptly and efficiently.
Support preventive maintenance schedules and ensure minimal downtime.
Coordinate with external vendors and contractors when required.
Ensure safety standards and compliance with regulations.
Maintain records of maintenance work and inventory of tools/spares.
Requirements:
Diploma or degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
2–4 years of experience in hotel/resort maintenance preferred.
Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly.
Willingness to work in shifts and be on-call when needed.
