About the Job:
As a Shopify Expert, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining aesthetically appealing and highly functional Shopify e-commerce websites. This role requires strong technical expertise in Shopify development, an eye for modern UI/UX design, and the ability to create optimized shopping experiences that drive conversions. You will work closely with designers, marketers, and backend teams to deliver scalable e-commerce solutions with seamless functionality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop responsive, visually appealing Shopify websites aligned with brand identity and user experience best practices.
- Build and customize Shopify themes, sections, and templates to create engaging e-commerce experiences.
- Implement and manage essential e-commerce functionalities including cart systems, payment gateways, checkout flows, shipping configurations, and product management.
- Optimize website performance, speed, and responsiveness across desktop and mobile devices.
- Integrate third-party apps, APIs, and tools to enhance website functionality and automation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Shopify stores, themes, apps, and integrations.
- Collaborate with marketing and content teams to implement landing pages, promotional campaigns, and conversion-focused designs.
- Ensure websites follow SEO best practices and maintain high usability standards.
- Maintain website security, backups, updates, and overall store health.
- Stay updated with Shopify trends, new features, and e-commerce best practices to continuously improve store performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Shopify website development.
- Strong expertise in Shopify platform, themes, and customization.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid templating language.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce workflows and user behavior.
- Experience integrating payment gateways, cart systems, and shipping configurations.
- Ability to create clean, aesthetic, and conversion-focused website designs.
- Problem-solving mindset with strong debugging and optimization skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, execution-driven environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Shopify Plus or advanced Shopify customizations.
- Knowledge of SEO optimization and website performance improvement.
- Experience with APIs and third-party integrations.
- Understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first development.
- Familiarity with analytics tools and conversion tracking.
- Basic knowledge of graphic design tools such as Figma or Adobe XD is a plus.
