Job Summary
The Estimation Engineer is responsible for preparing cost estimates, BOQs, and technical–commercial inputs for EPC and commissioning projects. The role supports tendering, budgeting, and project cost control by analysing drawings, specifications, and project requirements to develop accurate and competitive estimates.
Key Responsibilities
Estimation & Costing
· Prepare detailed cost estimates for EPC and commissioning projects based on drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
· Perform quantity take-offs and prepare BOQs for electrical / multi-disciplinary works.
· Estimate material, labor, equipment, subcontracting, and commissioning costs.
· Assist in preparation of project budgets and cost break-ups.
Tendering & Bidding Support
· Study tender documents, technical specifications, and commercial terms.
· Prepare queries and clarifications for tenders.
· Support preparation of technical and commercial bid submissions.
· Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and projects teams for inputs.
Vendor & Cost Data Management
· Obtain budgetary quotations from vendors and subcontractors.
· Maintain cost databases for materials, labor, and services.
· Analyze vendor quotations and recommend cost-effective solutions.
· Support value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.
EPC Coordination
· Coordinate with engineering teams to understand design intent and scope.
· Interface with procurement for pricing trends and vendor data.
· Assist project teams during project handover for budget understanding.
Documentation & Reporting
· Maintain estimation files, assumptions, exclusions, and risk registers.
· Prepare comparison statements and management summaries.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
· Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Engineering (Electrical).
Experienced: 2–5 years of experience in estimation for EPC or commissioning/switch yard projects.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
