Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to head our Maintenance / After Sales Service Department. This role involves managing all facets of post-delivery service operations, ensuring service excellence, customer satisfaction, and profitability through proactive maintenance strategies, AMC execution, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Hands-on knowledge of Mechanical, Hydraulic & Automation Systems.
- Lead the After Sales Service Department with challenging responsibilities including; installation, commissioning, warranty service, preventive & breakdown maintenance, and reconditioning.
- Develop and implement efficient service processes ensuring minimum downtime and high client satisfaction.
- Manage Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC), ensuring timely renewals, safety compliances & value delivery.
- Coordinate closely with the Design, Manufacturing, and Project teams for smooth integration of service support.
- Monitor service KPIs, departmental costs, and profitability; optimize resource allocation and response times.
- Handle technical escalations, troubleshooting, perform root cause analysis and implement corrective & preventive actions.
- Train and mentor service engineers and technicians to build a highly competent team.
- Act as a strategic partner in customer retention and post-sales relationship management.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering; additional certifications in maintenance systems or management are a plus.
- 12+ years of relevant experience in industrial machinery maintenance or service management, preferably in OEM or capital goods industries.
- Proven leadership experience in managing large service teams and high-value equipment.
- Strong understanding of AMC models, maintenance planning, warranty protocols, and customer service standards
