The CCTV Operator is responsible for monitoring and operating the school's surveillance systems to ensure the safety and security of students, staff, visitors, and school property. The role involves continuous observation of CCTV feeds, reporting incidents, maintaining surveillance records, retrieving footage when required, and supporting security and administrative operations.
Key Responsibilities1. CCTV Monitoring & Surveillance
- Monitor live CCTV footage across the school campus, including classrooms, corridors, playgrounds, parking areas, entrances, exits, and common areas.
- Observe and identify any suspicious activities, safety hazards, unauthorized access, or violations of school policies.
- Ensure continuous surveillance coverage during assigned working hours.
2. Incident Detection & Reporting
- Immediately report security incidents, accidents, emergencies, vandalism, theft, student misconduct, or other unusual activities to the concerned authorities.
- Prepare incident reports with accurate details and supporting evidence.
- Maintain records of all incidents observed through the surveillance system.
3. Footage Management
- Ensure CCTV recordings are functioning properly and stored securely.
- Retrieve, review, and provide footage as authorized by school management.
- Maintain proper records of footage requests and access.
4. Equipment Monitoring & Maintenance
- Conduct routine checks of cameras, monitors, DVR/NVR systems, storage devices, and related equipment.
- Report malfunctioning cameras or technical issues to the IT or maintenance department.
- Coordinate with vendors and technicians during repairs and maintenance activities.
5. Access Control Monitoring
- Monitor entry and exit points of the school.
- Observe visitor movement and vehicle access within the campus.
- Report unauthorized persons or suspicious activities immediately.
6. Emergency Response Support
- Assist security personnel and school management during emergencies such as fire incidents, medical emergencies, accidents, or security threats.
- Provide real-time information and surveillance support during emergency situations.
7. Documentation & Record Keeping
- Maintain daily surveillance logs and operational records.
- Record equipment status, incidents, maintenance activities, and footage retrieval requests.
- Ensure all documentation is accurate and up to date.
8. Compliance & Confidentiality
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding CCTV footage and surveillance information.
- Ensure footage is accessed only by authorized personnel.
- Adhere to school policies, safety regulations, and applicable legal requirements regarding surveillance and data privacy.
9. Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with the Security Team, Administration Department, Transport Department, and School Management regarding surveillance-related matters.
- Communicate observations and concerns promptly and professionally.
Qualifications
- PUC / Graduate in any discipline.
- Certification or training in CCTV operations, security systems, or surveillance management is preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience as a CCTV Operator, Security Surveillance Operator, or related role.
- Experience in an educational institution will be an added advantage.

Working Conditions
- Campus-based role requiring continuous monitoring of surveillance systems.

Pay: ₹28,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
