8.1: Administration and management
ü Build and maintain knowledge and understanding of the centre actions
ü To distribute and supervise shelter emergency items, and other relevant supplies.
ü Coordinate, supervise and train the assistant In charge and fieldworkers.
ü Coordinate create and maintain schedule as needed.
ü Supervise petty cash, petrol etc. including donation tracking and cash procedures.
ü In coordination with the State coordinator negotiate reasonable rates for needed services.
ü Maintain all records and implement all processes as per the QMS stipulations
ü Liaise with the designated office staff.
8.2. Community Centre Based Services
ü Toinitiate community development programs.
ü Visit, monitor, review and identify vulnerable children/teenagers/adults.
ü Identify, survey and plan schedule for target areas along with fieldworkers.
ü To contact the children at contact points and ensure that the children come to the shelter.
ü To communicate and develop a rapport with the children.
ü To provide shelter and basic needs for the marginalized street children along with medical support, restoration help and legal advice.
ü To operate an open door policy to any child.
ü To deal with both immediate needs and long-term opportunities.
8.3: Scholarships & monetary Services:
ü To run self employed business activities and generate income for their livelihood with the help of ESCT.
ü To create opportunity for personal growth and development through Recreational and promotional programmes.
ü Provide scholarship to the higher secondary children.
ü Provide monetary help for the children to become financially secure and socially independent.
ü Linking others to dignified livelihoods by providing the required skill development training etc.
8.4 : Coordination and correspondence
ü Conduct daily staff meeting and weekly meeting with the fieldworkers
ü Family intervention: counseling the children, and counsel the parents in certain cases.
ü To reach out the children personally, speak and engage them to have an aim in their life.
ü To scale up and replicate the program by increasing the number of children/centres.
ü Liasing and networking with other organizations, Government agencies, police, NGO’s, school authorities, health authorities, Sarva Shikshya Abhiyan, etc.
ü Attending the volunteers and visitors.
8.5: Education, Vocational Training & Relaxation program
ü To identify and enroll the children in Education centre.
ü Conduct class in the morning
ü To maintain all profiles, attendance & documents of the child.
ü Coordinate outdoor activities like weekly games, recreation & accompanying them on outdoor trips.
ü To organize sports and various other activities.
ü To work towards the empowerment of women and transformation of Society
ü Conduct medical camps to improve the health condition.
ü Conduct awareness program like Human trafficking, Sex workers, Immunization program and Child marriage.
ü To conduct vocational training and coaching classes.
ü Develop new activities for children (art, craft, music etc.)
8.6: Provide assistance in Awareness raising campaigns:
ü To sensitize the society on the evil of child beggary and child labor.
ü To eliminate the Killer (Drug Addiction use of Pan masala, other semi-addictives, child marriages etc.
ü Assist in networking through MCS - missing children search, and HLK - home linking)
ü Raise district wide mass awareness campaign.
ü Distributing pamphlets, brochures, leaflets, notice distribution, stalls at festival places.
ü Organizing vehicular campaigns with Public address announcements and street plays.
ü Handling Rights, child responsibilities, Juvenile Justice Act, child Abuse issues stress and suicidal tendencies.
8.7: Organize events in and around the shelter (Celebrations, awareness, Fundraising, etc)
ü Initiate community development programs as directed by the management.
ü Assist with planning and executing fundraising events with regard to any disasters in line with the appeal.
ü To form a child friendly society by creating awareness and empowerment programmes (SCAN rally, beach programme, mobilizing – Mana on wheels, reach out )
8.8. Reporting:
ü Process administrative mail.
ü Plan and execute the annual plan and annual budget.
ü Prepare daily, weekly, monthly and annual reports and updates.
