Job Summary
A Medical Transcriptionist in the Radiology Department is responsible for accurately transcribing, editing, and formatting radiologists’ dictated reports into written medical documents. The role requires knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, diagnostic imaging procedures, and strong attention to detail to ensure timely and error-free patient reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Transcribe radiology reports from audio recordings dictated by radiologists.
- Edit and proofread reports for grammar, clarity, consistency, and medical accuracy.
- Ensure proper formatting of CT, MRI, X-ray, Ultrasound, Mammography, and other imaging reports.
- Review and verify patient information, medical terminology, and diagnostic data.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient records according to hospital policies and healthcare regulations.
- Coordinate with radiologists and healthcare staff for clarification of unclear dictations.
- Upload and manage completed reports in Hospital Information Systems (HIS) or Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
- Meet daily productivity and turnaround time targets.
- Follow departmental quality standards and documentation procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in Medical Transcription or Healthcare Documentation.
- Knowledge of radiology terminology and diagnostic imaging procedures.
- Good command of English grammar, spelling, and medical vocabulary.
- Typing speed with high accuracy.
- Familiarity with transcription software and EMR systems.
- Ability to understand different accents and medical dictation styles.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in radiology transcription preferred.
- Strong listening and concentration skills.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology.
- Ability to work under deadlines and maintain accuracy.
- Basic computer proficiency and data management skills.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
