Job Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Kalighat, Kolkata
Salary: Up to ₹60,000 per month
Job Summary
We are hiring a Senior Accountant who will take complete ownership of the company's finance and accounting function. The role requires managing end-to-end accounting operations, statutory compliance, taxation, financial reporting, and ensuring accurate maintenance of books of accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle complete day-to-day accounting operations from voucher entry to finalization of accounts.
- Maintain books of accounts, ledgers, journals, bank transactions, and reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Manage Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and cash flow.
- Handle GST compliance including return filing, reconciliations, and assessments.
- Ensure timely filing of TDS, Income Tax, Professional Tax, PF, ESI, and other statutory returns as applicable.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and government authorities.
- Prepare MIS reports, budget analysis, and financial statements for management.
- Monitor statutory compliance and ensure adherence to accounting standards and government regulations.
- Handle payroll accounting and related statutory deductions.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and inventory accounting.
- Identify process improvements and maintain strong internal financial controls.
- Take complete ownership of the finance and accounts department independently.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com); M.Com/CA Inter preferred.
- 5+ years of experience as a Senior Accountant handling complete accounts independently.
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, statutory compliances, and return filing.
- Experience in finalization of accounts and audit coordination.
- Proficiency in Tally Prime, MS Excel, and accounting software.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with complete ownership and accountability.
Salary: Up to ₹60,000 per month (Based on experience)
Location: Kolkata
Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
