Key Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct engaging literacy activities with learners across grade levels
- Read with learners and mentor them as readers, guiding them to explore diverse genres
- Design and implement creative reading challenges, campaigns, and book clubs
- Create and sustain a literacy-rich environment throughout the school
- Nurture a strong reading culture and develop a lifelong love for books among students
- Curate, organize, and expand the library collection with books from diverse domains, genres, and global voices
- Support teachers and students with research resources, reading recommendations, and inquiry-based learning
- Manage library systems, cataloguing, and circulation effectively
- Collaborate with teachers to integrate library resources into the curriculum
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Library Science / Information Science / Education or a related field
- Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Librarian or Teacher Librarian in a school setting
- Experience in IB / Cambridge / International curriculum schools will be preferred
- Strong knowledge of children’s and young adult literature
- Ability to promote reading programs, literacy initiatives, and inquiry-based learning
