Job Summary
A Mechanical Project Engineer is responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring mechanical engineering projects. They ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and manage mechanical engineering projects.
- Prepare project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Review mechanical drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Coordinate with clients, vendors, contractors, and internal teams.
- Monitor project progress and prepare status reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and industry standards.
- Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Manage procurement of mechanical equipment and materials.
- Resolve technical issues during project execution.
- Conduct site visits and inspections as required.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, fabrication, piping, HVAC, or industrial equipment.
- Project planning and coordination skills.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and technical documents.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, MS Project, or similar software.
- Good communication and team management skills.
- Problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Qualifications
- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- 2–8 years of relevant project engineering experience (depending on position level).
Preferred Experience
- Industrial projects, manufacturing plants, EPC projects, fabrication, or machinery installation.
- Vendor management and project coordination.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
